One of my favorite things...

Bittersweet...courtesy of Janet at Housepeepers. It seems that what is scarce in this part of the country grows wild in Massachusetts. I love this stuff! Now I just need to find a little time to construct a wreath and some arrangements with this sure sign of autumn. Thank you, Janet!

How wonderful of her to share her bounty with you!

Oh my gosh, lucky you! I think it would be wonderful to be able to grow my own bittersweet (it's so pretty). That was really nice of her!

Bittersweet is one of my favorite things! I have a neighbor with a huge, and I mean huge bittersweet bush in the yard. I always want to sneak over there in the night and grab some. Now that would be stealing right? :D

Looking forward to seeing your wreath!

You are very welcome Teresa. Bittersweet is a vine that is actually a parasite that grows rampant and actually smothers the plants it covers. Kind of like Kudzu in the South. It is actually illegal to sell the vines in Massachusetts now, so I figure I am doing some kind of public service by removing it when I can, lol!

Wow, that is so pretty. I have never heard of bittersweet. That is two things today that I have read are illegal to sell in Massachusetts. The other was burning bush. And, they are both so pretty.

It's been awhile...as usual, not much going on.  As I look through photos on my phone, I decided to do a little blog post. Last Monday...
