Ta Da! A Work Still in Progress


Today is the Show Us Your Dress Form Party hosted by Tiffany at Shabby Scraps . The offerings are absolutely tremendous.

Creatively and "artistically", this has been a hard week. I've been trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear via the magic of trash bags and duct tape. It's been fun, but in a way disappointing...I'm just going to modify and adapt, keep trying things until I get it right. I've taken inspiration from a number of sources--Ballard Designs, Pottery Barn, Susie Holt's Cat's Meow, and a number of Google images. Here's my interpretation:



I'm thinking of Eliza (Doolittle) as a name for her...perhaps when she's completed with a fabric wrap or some decoupage'd wine labels...she's still a little (a lot) lumpy, as the spackle didn't work on top of the duct tape. More thinking, more planning, more doing.
