"The Spot" Cream Pie
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
pinch of salt
Mix and put in an unbaked pie shell. Pour a pint of half and half over this and stir with a finger so as not to tear the pie shell.
Bake at 350 for 70-75 minutes.The top of the pie forms a golden brown balloon, which deflates upon removing from the oven and cooling. It's good plain, but a little sliced fresh fruit topping makes it outstanding.
