A P.S. to my first post of the day

This wasn't directed at anyone. I just found it to be a more precise description of how I've been feeling about some things and situations I've been involved in. If I had a 'problem' with a friend, I'd certainly sit down and discuss my feelings with them...you don't write off friendship that easily. It seems like for many years, I was a 'yes' person. Any request, any chore, any committee...if someone asked me, I would say yes. I'm much more frugal with my commitments now; I have to really want to be involved in something to make myself available. Being positive is something I try to attain each and every day; work gossip drains me...since I spend a good portion of time at work, I want my time there to be productive and upbeat. Life's too short. I just feel that we all need to edit our lives and focus on the positive...blogging certainly has become a positive force in my life. I try to find the beauty in small things. Thanks for listening!

I tried to comment on your earlier post and my computer was acting up. I agree with your first post. Sometimes you may like someone but find that they bring out the worst in you. We are all influenced to some degree by our friends and it is wise to step back every now and then and evaluate where that frindship is leading you. if it can't be fixed, it is time to quietly back out.

This is a very thoughtful and reflective post. I have had the past few weeks to look at time wasters I have had. I am in the process of changing what I do with my time at night. It has been so beneficial. I am calmer and it charges me up for the daily grind of all the personalities and drama. I love my job and my work is very satisfying, it's just that when you are with a group of people of all different ages it seems like things can get very dramatic. I love the energy of the youth, but I am at a different place and I love peace and uplifting things. I have had a history as a "Yes" person also and it's very tiring and after a while it helped me to burn out. I am so glad the Lord has shown me there is a quiet way of living.

I found the post thought-provoking and thoughtful. That's what is so wonderful about blogging and comments...it provides us a way of thinking about something new, working through issues, etc.

Catching Up

It's been awhile...as usual, not much going on.  As I look through photos on my phone, I decided to do a little blog post. Last Monday...
