This week's round of ice storms gave us an early dismissal yesterday and a late opening today.
The ice really is beautiful clinging to tree branches and everything in its path...like Autumn Clematis remnants...
Architectural forms (with the neon "Teen Zone" sign reflected in the window)...
and the Cafe Garden. The diamondy sparkle is beautiful, but the consequences of slipping--not so much! I left my car at work yesterday, in the underground parking garage...caught a ride home and a ride to work this morning. No ice chipping this week!
Ahhhhh the beauty of winter. Yes summer please hurry! Great pictures here, thanks for sharing them with us.
It is beautiful to see it. We have had a lot of ice this year, too....crazy winter.....hope spring is just around the corner. Rosie
There is something so beautiful about ice covered branches and icicles hanging from a building's edge. Your photographs capture the beauty so perfectly. Glad that you caught rides instead of trying to chip the ice away and drive on slippery roads. We had a snow storm last night here in New England. Just snow, no ice, but I still slipped around when I went to pick up my daughter last night. Soon it will be Spring. Blessings, Karen
Yup, sure is lovely...and treacherous. Beautiful photos!
Hope the weather improved for the weekend...
These pics are so pretty.. I ahve to say from your earlier post. I love bunco.. we have a group here too!
Thanks for the corking tip for the herb vinegars. I will have to find some of those. I, too, give vinegars as gifts and have to keep encouraging the recipients to use them as they always say it is too pretty to use!! The cranberry rosemary kind sounds yummy.
We have the same ice and snow here in NY. LAtely I feel ike it makes me slow down so maybe it is not such a bad thing, this winter thing!
Those pictures look exactly like the trees here right now...just wanted to stop by and say thank you...thank you...thank you for all of your sweet birthday wishes!
Hope your day is as wonderful as you have made mine.
smiles, kari (& kijsa)
