Icy Landscapes

This week's round of ice storms gave us an early dismissal yesterday and a late opening today.
The ice really is beautiful clinging to tree branches and everything in its path...like Autumn Clematis remnants...
Icy trees...
Architectural forms (with the neon "Teen Zone" sign reflected in the window)...
and the Cafe Garden. The diamondy sparkle is beautiful, but the consequences of slipping--not so much! I left my car at work yesterday, in the underground parking garage...caught a ride home and a ride to work this morning. No ice chipping this week!

There is something so beautiful about ice covered branches and icicles hanging from a building's edge. Your photographs capture the beauty so perfectly. Glad that you caught rides instead of trying to chip the ice away and drive on slippery roads. We had a snow storm last night here in New England. Just snow, no ice, but I still slipped around when I went to pick up my daughter last night. Soon it will be Spring. Blessings, Karen

Thanks for the corking tip for the herb vinegars. I will have to find some of those. I, too, give vinegars as gifts and have to keep encouraging the recipients to use them as they always say it is too pretty to use!! The cranberry rosemary kind sounds yummy.

Catching Up

It's been awhile...as usual, not much going on.  As I look through photos on my phone, I decided to do a little blog post. Last Monday...
