Hurricane Ike moved through here yesterday morning with very high winds...trees and power lines are down all over the county (and many counties more), and thousands of homes are without power. No rain though. Many area schools are closed today. No damage at my place...just lots of 'thinned out' trees. The only positive...a cold front blew through, and the weather is wonderful this morning.

Wow! Can't believe that photo! Glad you are alright though!
Yikes! I suppose it's a good thing to have a good blow now and then to clean up any weak trees. Just glad that no one was hurt.
Enjoy your refreshing day!
I am glad that no one was hurt at your house. But the good thing is the cooler weather even though it came by way of Hurricane. Hope you wanted some trees taken down. lol; not a good way to get rid of them.
Have a great week.
Hugs;

Ike really left it's mark across the USA. Here in DAllas, we had a constant, slow rain and winds up to about 40 mph. We were spared the bad "stuff" as Ike took a turn towards East Texas. Glad to hear that you didn't suffer any damage. We had a cool morning this morning, too.....low 60's in September in Dallas is unusual, but delightful! University of Evansville will be at our college fair this weekend and we're all set for a visit for my daughter.....it looks like a beautiful place. :)

I am glad you are okay. I don't think I have your address yet for the swap and it is almost time to send you your Halloween goodies. Could you send me an e-mail with it. Did I give you my address yet? I am afraid I don't remember. susanmhickam@yahoo.com-your swap partner for Heidi's vintage swap.
Wow! That Ike has made his prescence felt everywhere! Glad you didn't have any damage. We're enjoying our first really cool morning here.

Glad you are okay. Those trees look pretty big. Isn't this cool weather wonderful?
Glad you are OK and not flooded. The cold front blowing through is a nice autumnal bonus!
