If it's Saturday--it must be PINK

Thanks again to Beverly for hosting another Pink Saturday. The quilt in the first picture is newly finished by my friend Michelle. She brought it to my house yesterday to complete...and finished sewing the binding by early afternoon. It's a baby quilt for a shower at the end of the month. Doesn't the pink pop?
My pink contribution this week is my cookie jar. Even though it has lots of colors, I always think of the pinks...
My friend Carol has a similar cookie jar...she grew up with hers; mine was a purchase from the St.Patrick's Parish garage sale I chaired in 1991. It came from the rectory kitchen, and I guess Father Tom and Father Gene didn't like it, so it was one of their donations.

My jar rarely has cookies in it, as it resides on top of my cabinets in the kitchen...not the easiest place to get to!

Happy Pink Saturday, Teresa.

The quilt is wonderful. I know it will be treasured.

I have almost the identical cookie jar in my kitchen. My mother got one when I was about eight or nine years old. I think she got it with S&H Green Stamps. Mine is going to be a post feature one of these days, too. It doesn't hold cookies, but it holds packs of crackers. We each take a pack of crackers with us to work each day.

That is some fast work on the quilt. Yes, the pink does pop! What a nice gift that will be!

The cookie jar is so nice. I noticed when I used to have cookie jars that the cookies got stale so fast. How did they avoid that so long ago? I guess they must have just eaten the cookies quickly :)

Happy Pink Saturday!

take care,
Dawn

The quilt is so cute! The pink really does pop.
My SIL has the same cookie jar. The one she grew up with broke during a move and thankfully she was able to find another just like it at a yard sale.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Teresa, I had that exact same cookie jar in my house growing up. I would snap one up in a hot minute if I ever found one for sale!
