Last weekend here was just beautiful...cool temps, clear skies, and that hint of autumn. With the last few days hovering in the low 90's, I'm having a severe craving for fall...the soups, stews, foods, colors, and scents that give us that warm & cozy "nesting" feeling. To honor my fall feeling, today I'm going to :
- Clip the last of the hydrangeas to dry
- Re-do the mantle in the living room to include the hues of autumn; pomegranate, rust, golden green, and chestnut brown
- Brew mulling spices on the stove top to scent the house
- Make Harvest Stew from Susan Branch's Autumn from the Heart of the Home
Last, but more importantly not least...adjust the airconditioner!
